Amber Elizabeth Grooms was born and raised in Lumberton, North Carolina. She graduated from Fairmont High School as Valedictorian in 2004. Mrs. Grooms received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. She attended Florida Coastal School of Law and graduated in 2010, with a Doctor of Jurisprudence.
Mrs. Grooms passed the North Carolina State Bar in August of 2010 after which she joined the Bowen and Berry firm where she practices in the District Courts of Robeson County.
Mrs. Grooms represents criminal defendants in misdemeanors and traffic cases. She has an active domestic practice trying cases of divorce, alimony, child custody and support, and equitable distribution.
